CD World offers the best disc repair service in Idaho! Our state of the art disc repair machines are capable of repairing most scratches on the playable side of the disc. We repair CDs, DVD, Video games, CD-ROM, or certain other discs.* Bring in your discs to us and we will inspect them. If we think they are able to be repaired, we will repair the discs. Our machines take off the scratches, then refinish the surface making the disc look as good as new! *certain disc types cannot be repaired. See store for details. Some restrictions apply on disc repairs. We do not guarantee the playability of your discs, only that we will do our best to remove scratches from them. ~ How Scratches Affect Your Disc ~
If any damage occurs to the top 3 layers of a CD, the infomation stored may be ruined. These "top-side" scratches cannot be repaired.

Scratches on the bottom, however, are merely on the plastic and while they may still cause your disc to skip they can easily be repaired with CD World's state of the art disc repair equipment.

To find out which side of the disc your scratch is on, try this: hold the disc up to a light bulb. If you see pin holes or any light shining through, then your disc cannot be fixed. Rarely, you will find scratches that has no reflection and apears as a single line. This is also damage that is irrepairable. Scratches normally create a double line effect, because the scratch is being mirrored by the reflective layer. These are the repairable scratches.
